  • 16-18 years old;
  • with interest in persuing space science or engineering as a career;

Sutton Trust UK Summer School

  • Designed to support high-achieving students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
  • For students attend and have always attended a state-funded, non-fee paying school/college
  • Year 12 in England or Wales, Year 13 in Northern Ireland, or S5 in Scotland (or equivalent)
  • Courses are provided in multiple discplines, including arts and humanities, social sciences engineering, medicine, science (which includes physics and astronomy, of course!).

Yale Summer Program in Astrophysic

  • Two-week online self-study + four-week residential program on Yale’s campus.
  • High school juniors (older than 15.5 years old by the program starts).
  • International students are welcome.
  • Tuition fee applied but financial aid is available o a needs-first basis.

Research Experiences in Astronomy at CIERA for High School Students (REACH)

  • Three-week + (limited avaliability) three-week program;
  • Intensive training in the Python programming language with a focus on astrophysics topics;
  • No prior experience with computer programming or astronomy is needed;

NASA Data Science Analysis and Scholarly Research Paper Writing Program by George Mason University

  • Three-month program focussing on analysing NASA TESS mission data, and writing a research paper;
  • Fee applied and need-based scholarships are available.

  • High school juniors (15-19 years old).
  • Completed or in the process of completing high school physics and precalculus.
